“Hi, I’m Rhys and I’m a Tipp man living in Cork, working in One Arena, Passage.
I have a BSC Honours Degree in Sports Strength and Conditioning, along with a level 5 nutrition cert. With 7 years of experience working in numerous gyms coaching athletes, the general population and gym lovers, and 14 years experience weight training myself. I feel I have built up the knowledge and skill level to effectively help people live a healthier happier life, whilst also hitting big training goals. Be it for sports performance or general wellbeing.
I play Gaelic football and hurling back home in Tipperary and enjoy almost every sport. I have done a lot of work coaching GAA and strength and conditioning in schools in Tipperary. I’ve also worked with GAA clubs doing strength and conditioning for pre-season, and coaching teams from u6 up to adult level, which I really enjoy doing.
Lifting weights is my favourite aspect of training, I love getting clients strong and feeling happy, through proper exercise form and progressive overload. I enjoy putting a programme in place for a client and watching as their confidence and strength increase week to week. Going to the gym is just as good for the head as it is for the body, if not even better! So, my main aim for every session is to make sure each and every client leaves the gym feeling better about themselves and with a smile on their face.
